Are you considering becoming a CCNA? If you have no experience, then you are probably looking at a minimum salary of $45K to start. (The CCNA exam fee is $300.) Are you already a CCNA? Then make sure you are being fairly compensated.
While a CCNA alone might not get you to $100k, in some larger cities it will. And if you really enjoy the work, you can continue down that path and easily make over $100k. (If you currently have no IT experience though, you maybe be better off pursuing something like an MCSE. That’s generally easier for people to grasp, as fewer people have experience with networks, but most people have some interaction with PCs.)
Look into the CISSP Salary if you aren interested in furthering your career.
Here’s a breakdown of the number of current CCNA postings across the United States, grouped by minimum salary. As you can see, at the time of this writing, there are over 2,800 postings for CCNAs that pay in excess $100,000! Still, there are CCNA positions that pay up over $120,000!

As you can see from the table below, just about every major city in the US (as well as Toronto) has a need for CCNAs. Obviously the bigger the city, the higher the demand (although more competition as well.) There are some non-metro cities that have data centers and government contracts that could yield a better cost of living than large metro areas, so they should be worth considering as your dollar will go farther.
So is the CCNA worth it? It seems reasonable to expect a “CCNA salary with no experience” to be $50,000 in most cities. Aside from the salary, it’s nice to have job security, and this job has demand.
The average salary across the country for a Senior Network Engineer, which is one of the most common job titles for a CCNA with experience, is $105,000. Network Engineers, with less experience than a Senior Network Engineer, are just shy of $90,000. Another popular CCNA title is System Engineer, and the national average is just under $105,000. While Network Administrators (typically they maintain as opposed to design the networks) earn about $65,000.
A CCNA Network Engineer salary on average is $90,000.

The CCNA passing score is 850 out of 100. Obviously you can’t just walk in and pass the CCNA test with no experience, and it’d be a waste of $300 (which is the CCNA exam cost.) If you are serious about improving your career and have no hands on experience, make sure to look specifically for CCNA classroom training, as you will no doubt be provided with a switch and router to practice on. CCNA Routing & Switching is probably the best general purpose certification to get, although Cloud and Security would be good choices as well.
